Monstera Bookmark Free Crochet Pattern

The monstera crocheted bookmark is a stashbusting project that gets you an adorable plant lovers bookmark in no time šŸ™‚

Supplies:

50 g #3 crochet thread in green or chosen color

3 mm crochet hook

Stitch marker

Yarn needle

Scissors

Begin

R1: ch 26. Sl st into 2nd ch from hook and into next 11 ch, sc into next 12 ch, sl st into the last 2 ch.

Leaf Part 1

R2: sc into next 2, ch 4, turn. Sl st into 7th st from hook (3 sts away from the ch 4). Ch 1, turn, sc 5 into ch sp.

Leaf Part 2

R3: sc into next 2 sts, ch 5, turn. Sl st into 9th st from hook (4 sts away from the ch 5). Ch 1, turn, 6 sc into ch sp.

Leaf Part 3

R4: sc into next 2 sts, ch 6, turn. Sl st into 10th st from hook (4 sts away from the ch 6). Ch 1, turn. 5 sc, then 3 hdc into ch sp.

Leaf Part 4

R5: sc into next 2, ch 7, turn. Sl st into 11th st from hook (4 sts away from the ch 7). Ch 1, turn, 4 hdc, then 4 dc into ch sp.

Leaf Part 5

R6: sc into next 2 sts, ch 8, turn. Sl st into 12th st away from hook (4 sts away from ch 8). Ch 1, turn, 4 hdc, then 5 dc into ch sp.

Leaf Part 6

R7: sc into next 2 sts, ch 9, turn. Sl st into 13th st from hook (4 sts away from ch 9). Ch 1, turn, 5 hdc, then 5 dc into ch sp. Sl st into next st, fasten off.

Other Side of Leaf:

Sl st into top of leaf, picot (ch 2, sl st into 2nd ch from hook, sl back into top of leaf).

Sl st into the next 2 sts on empty side of leaf, proceed to instructions for Leaf Part 1 and complete all the leaf parts down the other side. Fasten off.
