This cute little baby hamster was requested by my kids, who asked me to make them some hamster kitties after watching Gabby’s Dollhouse. So this is what I came up with, softie baby hamsters! I’ve made 3 so far and a collection of ice cream sundae baby hamsters are also in the works, to be released this month! Stay tuned!
Baby Hamster Free Crochet Pattern
Abbreviations:
sc: single crochet
hdc: half double crochet

You will need:
•2.00 mm crochet hook
•50 grams 4 ply fine yarn in white
•50 grams 4 play fine yarn in beige
•A small amount of black yarn or embroidery thread
•A small amount of pink yarn
•Stitch marker
•Yarn needle
•Scissors

R1: 6 sc in MR [6]
R2: inc 6 times [12]
R3: (sc, inc) 6 times [18]
R4: (sc 2, inc) 6 times [24]

R7-18: sc around [36]

Ears (Make two: one beige, one white):
R1: 4 hdc in MR [4]

Hands, Feet and Tail (Make 5):
R1: With white yarn, 3 hdc in MR [3]
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
To Make Up:
Sew the spots onto baby hamster body as pictured. Sew the beige ear onto the big spot. Sew the white ear onto the other side of head, about 8 stitches from beige ear.
With black yarn, embroider the eyes by passing needle twice over one stitch, six stitches apart. With pink yarn, embroider nose one round under the eyes in the center. With black yarn, embroider the mouth in a “w” shape, two rounds under the nose.
Sew the hands on the same round as bottom of mouth, 7 stitches apart. Sew the feet 7 rounds under the hands, directly underneath them. Sew the tail to the center of hamsters back, 11 rounds down from the ears.
And your baby hamster is done!
